Small stoneware houses with cut-out windows — the kind of candleholder that changes a room when a tealight goes inside. The light flickers through the openings and gives even a plain shelf a different quality in the evening. The floral paintwork is delicate rather than loud; in Pink Flower or Lilac Flower, both read as decorative without being overtly seasonal. They work on a windowsill, a fireplace ledge or a shelf all year, and come into their own in the darker months when that flicker of light through the windows is exactly the right thing.
Why you'll love them
Flickering window light — the cut-out openings let candlelight move through the stoneware; the effect is warmest in a dim room
Stoneware construction — solid and weighty; these feel substantial and heat-safe in a way that ceramic or glass alternatives don't always
Two styles — Pink Flower (taller, 19cm high) or Lilac Flower (shorter, 14cm high); use one alone or group them at different heights
Works year-round — they lean into autumn and winter particularly well, but the floral detail keeps them from being strictly seasonal
Care: wipe clean with a soft dry cloth; avoid harsh cleaners
Group both heights together on a fireplace ledge with the Wire Robin Ornaments tucked between them for an autumn or winter shelf that needs nothing else.
