Our story

We’re Emma and family, and Sable Homeware is our small, family-run shop.

We started in 2015 as Shabbyquins, selling shabby chic homeware and gifts. Our style naturally evolved over the years, and in April 2026 we became Sable Homeware.

We only stock things we’d genuinely use ourselves, picked one piece at a time rather than by the container-load. We like soft neutrals, natural materials and things you’ll actually use.

We focus on three things:

Timeless design
Pieces that will still look right in a few years’ time. Simple shapes, neutral colours, nothing that dates quickly.

Natural materials
Ceramics, glass, wood, linen and cotton. Real materials that feel good to use every day.

Everyday living, with seasonal moments
Everyday pieces you’ll use all year, plus new things that come in with the seasons and sit happily alongside what you already have.

Every order is packed by us. If something isn’t right when it arrives, you’ll be emailing one of us, not a call centre, and we’ll sort it out. Small team, smaller range, and a home you actually enjoy being in.
