A bone china oblong serving plate with that same warm, illustrated print as the matching jug — Gingerbread Men or Plum Pudding, depending on which design you love. Long and low at 29cm, it's the shape that suits a cheese board, a row of mince pies or a sharing spread across the Christmas table. Fine bone china, so it's lighter than it looks. Worth having out on the worktop through December rather than saving it for best.
Why you'll love it
Oblong shape — the proportions that suit a sharing spread, a row of biscuits or a simple cheese board without a round plate's limitations
Fine bone china — lightweight and well made; the print is part of the glaze rather than applied on top
Two classic designs — Gingerbread Men or Plum Pudding; both coordinate with the matching Bone China Jug
Worth getting out every year — the quality means it improves with use rather than looking tired after one season
